Business New Zealand has launched a website aimed at boosting productivity in the manufacturing sector, and helping to commercialise new technology.
The website - www.manufacturingnz.org.nz - has a searchable database that allows manufacturers to find details about the research, development and prototype work being carried out at the country's universities and polytechnics.
Business New Zealand's manufacturing executive director, Catherine Beard, says the site should improve the link between the manufacturing and education sectors.
She says a similar website aimed at exporters will be launched in a few months.
