Work stoppages have fallen to their lowest level in seven years.

Statistics New Zealand reports one work stoppage, a strike, in the first three months of the year.

On an annual basis, 30 stoppages took place involving more than 10,500 employees and losses of more than 18,000 work days and an estimated $3.1 million in wages.
