Demand slows in Australian housing market

The closely-watched figures from RP Data and Rismark, show house prices in major cities fell a seasonally adjusted average of 0.7% in the month of June.

That's the largest decrease recorded for two years.

The ABC reports rising interest rates and the end of government stimulus payments have curbed demand.
