The New Zealand sharemarket was 3 points higher at 3042 on turnover of $44 million at the close of trade on Thursday.
Fletcher Building was down 3 cents to $7.54 a share, Telecom was up 1c at $2.02 and Contact Energy rose 3c to $5.69.
Sky City Entertainment rose 2c to $3.04 and Sky Network Television gained 16c to $5.05.
Fisher & Paykel Healthcare fell 4c to $2.93, while Fisher & Paykel Appliances was unchanged at 53c.
The Warehouse was down 2 cents to $3.52, while NZ Refinery fell 8c to $3.
At 5.20pm, the New Zealand dollar was buying 72.95 US cents, 79.75 Australian, 45.94 pence, 62.88 yen and 0.5550 euro. The Trade Weighted Index stood at 67.37.
