Further $40m to be invested by fund

The New Zealand Venture Investment Fund is investing another $40 million in venture capital projects, after the Government agreed to underwrite the amount.

The fund has already invested $160 million in projects so far and the extra $40 million will be invested from the returns of those investments.

The Government says it is underwriting the amount to remove any risk and to encourage more investment in more private sector, high growth companies.
