Turners Auctions says the used vehicle market is slowly recovering.
The company made $1.45 million in the six months to the end of June, up 6%on the same period the previous year.
Revenue rose 4% to $63 million primarily because of more sales through its fleet business, improved interest revenue, and more breakdown insurance commissions.
Chief executive Graham Roberts says he's pleased with the results, given how hard the industry was hit last year.
Mr Roberts says sales in the used vehicle market are up 5% so far this year, but the outlook remains unpredictable.
