The value of trading on the New Zealand stock market picked up slightly in August.
NZX says the total value of trades rose 21% from July, to $1.76 billion, largely due to a 23% rise in the value traded on its main board.
NZX says some 43,000 trades were carried out during August, down 3% from July and 23% lower than the same month last year.
The number of listed companies rose to 223 during the month after DNZ Property Group made its debut on the NZX main board.
