Several more listed companies have updated investors after the Canterbury earthquake, and appear to have escaped relatively unscathed.

Scott Technology says its facilities in Christchurch received only minor damage, while Steel and Tube Holdings and Smiths City Group says the earthquake has had little impact.

Briscoes Group says all its eight stores in the region experienced some damage, but seven have reopened for business.

The other store, Riccarton Mall Rebel Sport, experienced flooding damage but should be open by the weekend.
