Air New Zealand is offering economy passengers a choice of paying for a seat or a seat and bag in a move to provide cheaper options for travellers.
The airline says seat-only tickets will be up to 29% cheaper than its former prices for customers on flights between New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific Islands.
It says customers buying the options will continue to be served complimentary inflight entertainment and tea, coffee and water.
