The top executive at Contact Energy has enjoyed a hefty pay rise, despite a drop in the company's annual profit.
Underlying profit declined 6% to $150 million in the year to June, but David Baldwin received an 11% increase in base pay to $1.2 million, thanks to a higher cash bonus.
Including options and restricted shares, Mr Baldwin's remuneration totals $1.72 million.
