Renaissance says a decision by Apple to appoint another distributor in New Zealand won't significantly affect the business.

Chief executive Richard Webb says the company has not been an exclusive distributor for Apple since 2006 and it will continue to operate in the market.

Mr Webb says the company believes in choice and competition and it is well positioned for Apple's new distribution strategy in New Zealand.
