Publicly-owned power company Genesis Energy plans to release some details about the purchase of Meridian's Tekapo stations, but says commercially sensitive information will remain under wraps.
As part of a Government-driven asset transfer, Genesis Energy is buying the Tekapo A and B stations from Meridian.
Genesis chairperson Dame Jenny Shipley says the parties are finalising arrangements at the moment and are close to agreeing a sale price.
Dame Jenny says some of the transaction's details will be made public once the deal is done later this year or early next year, but it's too soon to say what information will be released.
