New Zealand share market down

The New Zealand share market closed down on Monday, with the NZX 50 index falling five points to 3300 on turnover of $40 million.

Fletcher Building closed down 8 cents to $8.13, Telecom was unchanged at $2.05, Contact Energy was up 6c to $5.91, Fisher & Paykel Appliances was up 1c to 61c, Property For Industry was unchanged at $1.16 and Auckland International Airport was up 2c to $2.12.

Sky City Entertainment was up 7c to $3.09, Sky Network Television was down 6c to $5.37, The Warehouse was up 1c to $4, Ebos Group was up 15c to $7.50 and Goodman Fielder was down 7c to $1.87.

The dollar was at 76.7 US cents, 77.55 Australian cents, 47.65 pence, 61.71 yen and 0.5477 euro. The Trade Weighted Index was 67.

Across the Tasman, the Australian 200 index was up 34 points to 4696.
