British regulators are investigating plans by Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation to buy the remaining 61%of BSkyB that it doesn't already own.
The inquiry will look into the degree to which news outlets are concentrated under one organisation's ownership.
News Corporation owns owns the Sun, News of the World, Times and Sunday Times newspapers.
These account for a third of the UK's national newspaper circulation, while BSkyB has almost 10 million customers.
