Dividend re-investment plan suspended by Telecom

Telecom has suspended its dividend re-investment plan because of uncertainty surrounding the government's ultra-fast broadband plan.

Shareholders won't be able to forgo September quarterly dividend in return for shares.

The company says it expected to know more by now, about the preferred bidders for the public-private partnership to build a fibre network.

Telecom shares were down 10 cents to $2.10 afterwards on Wednesday.
