New Shell owner holding off on rebranding decision

The new owner of Shell's service stations says it will not be making a decision about re-branding hundreds of petrol stations, until a major review of the business is completed next year.

The Shell business, since-renamed Greenstone Energy, was bought by Infratil and the New Zealand Superannuation Fund for about $700 million in March.

Greenstone's chief executive Mike Bennets says the company will decide next year whether it will keep using the Shell Brand, use Greenstone Energy, or find a new name.
