Pumpkin Patch seeks chairman

9:21 pm on 23 November 2010

Pumpkin Patch is on the hunt for a new chairman as it faces more tough times.

The children's clothing retailer told shareholders at its annual meeting in Auckland on Tuesday that trading has been difficult for the first three months of the financial year.

Pumpkin Patch chief executive Maurice Prendergast says he is taking a very cautious view about what will happen in 2011.

Some investors would have liked to see the company's chairman, Greg Muir, remain, but his resignation on Friday is also seen as an opportunity to inject fresh talent.
