Goodman Fielder expects its full year profit to increase by 5% - 9% on last year's $161.1 million.

The Australasian food group, whose brands include Nature's Fresh bread, MeadowFresh milk and Chesdale cheese, says trading in the first three months of the 2011 financial year has gone well.

However, the environment still remains challenging.

Managing director Peter Margin told the company's annual meeting in Auckland that currency rates, high raw material costs and mixed consumer sentiment remain key risks.
