Fiji Reserve Bank governor Sada Reddy has resigned.
Governance sub committee chairman Deo Saran announced he had received notice of Mr Reddy's resignation with immediate effect.
Fiji Live reports he had served the last 20 months as Governor. Prior to that, he was deputy governor for 15 years.
Mr Reddy joined the Bank in 1975.
The bank said deputy governor Barry Whiteside will act as Governor until further notice.
