Half year profit at Freightways has risen due to increased demand for its courier and information management services.
The company says its profit rose 9% to $16 million in the six months to the end of December.
Revenue rose 7% to $176 million, compared with the same period the previous year.
Managing director Dean Bracewell says the company is seeing a pick-up in demand for its services.
Mr Bracewell says he's optimistic about the next six months, but it's too early to say whether Freightways will maintain the growth into the second half.
