Sales of new vehicles are continuing to recover after dropping by about 35% in 2009 because of the recession.
Figures for February show sales were up by 13% compared to the same month a year ago.
That follows a strong January for the industry, when sales were up by 11%.
In total, 4844 new cars were sold in February. Toyota led with 16% of the market.
