The New Zealand sharemarket rose on Monday morning. By 12.48pm, the NZX 50 index had risen 10 points to 3456 on turnover of $40 million.
Across the Tasman, the ASX200 was up 17 points to 4958.
The New Zealand dollar was trading at 78.23 US cents, 74.06 Australian cents, 47.78 pence, 66.49 yen and 0.5409 euro. The Trade Weighted Index was at 67.97.
Fletcher Building was up 11 cents at $9.48, Telecom was unchanged at $1.985 and Contact Energy was up 4c to $5.80.
Sky City Entertainment was up 1c to $3.42 and Sky Network Television was up 5c to $5.75.
Fisher & Paykel Healthcare was up 1c to $3.07 and The Warehouse was up 1c at $3.46.
Vector was down 5c to $2.52 and Rakon was up 4c to $1.10
Sanford was down 4c to $5.60 after NZX queried a recent rise in its share price
Steel & Tube was down 4c to $2.70.
