NZ software company reports big boost in sales

Software company Diligent Board Member Services is reporting a 70% rise in sales in the March quarter thanks to greater demand from Europe and the success of software for Apple's iPad.

The listed company's sales income to the end of March was $US2.976 million, well up on the same period last year and 20% higher than its previous record posted in the December quarter.

Diligent produces software to help company boards review documents over the internet and generates its income from annual subscriptions.

The improvement is due to an increase in sales in the UK and Europe and the successful marketing of a software product compatible with Apple's iPad.
