More acceptances received on Agria offer

12:14 pm on 19 April 2011

The Agria consortium has received more acceptances to its offer of 60 cents per share for PGG Wrightson.

The consortium, which is made up of Agria and New Hope of China, and Ngai Tahu, has 55.1% of the rural services firm.

Investors who have sold will be scaled back, as Agria only wants just over 50% of PGG Wrightson.

The offer closes on Saturday.
