The NZX50 index fell 37 points or 1% on thursday to end at 34 89. Turnover was $100 million.
In the main market movements,
Fletcher Building was down 18 cents to $8.57, Telecom fell 3 cents to $2.33, and Contact Energy was down 16 cents to $5.86
Sky City Entertainment fell 8 cents at $3.51 while Sky Network Television lost 1 cent to $5.71 and Auckland Airport ws down 4 cents to $2.28
Fisher & Paykel Healthcare was down 3 cents at $2.94
NZ Refining was down 23 cents to $3.92, Vector down 3 cents to $2.55 and Infratil down 3 cents to $1.84.
The Warehouse lost 1 cent to close at $3.68
Among the rises, Nuplex was up 4 cents at $3.12, Methven up 7 cents to $1.55, Ryman Healthcare up 8 cents to $2.81.
