A new range of salads and other healthier options at McDonald's may be starting to win back both customers and profits in New Zealand.
Group profit rose 5% to $35.8 million in the year to December, compared with the previous year.
McDonald's has 152 restaurants in New Zealand.
In a trading statement, McDonald's says it expects its global profit to rise 27% in the second quarter, after improved sales around the world.
McDonald's releases its group results next month. It says the US market did best, with sales twice that in Europe, while in the Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa sales rose by 4.3%.
