The New Zealand sharemarket closed down 17 points at close of business on Monday, to 3438 on turnover of $52 million.
Fletcher Building was down 3 cents at $8.64, Contact Energy down 1c at $5.35, Telecom down half a cent to $2.45
Sky City Entertainment Group down 2 cents at $3.57, Auckland International Airport down 2.5 cents at $2.21 but The Warehouse rose 10 cents to $3.53.
Fisher and Paykel Healthcare was down 4 cents at $2.70, Methven fell 6 cents at $1.45, Tower down 4 cents at $1.56, and Restaurant Brands down 4 cents to $2.50.
Telstra rose 6 cents to $3.79.
Scott Technology was unchanged at $1.45 after announcing plans for a $9.5 million rights issue.
The Australian 200 index is down 49 points, just over 1%, at 4458.
In currency markets, the NZ dollar is at 80.3 US, 77 Australian, 50.4 pence, 64.83 Yen, and point-5686 euro. The TWI stands at 70.03
