NZX loses 21 points

The benchmark NZX50 index fell 21 points, or 0.6%, to close at 3386 on turnover of $65 million in Monday trading

Fletcher Building fell 5 cents to $8, Contact Energy was unchanged at $5.39, Telecom was up half a cent to $2.49 and The Warehouse rose 3 cents to $3.49.

Sky City Entertainment Group fell 2 cents to $3.56, Sky Network TV fell 1 cent to $5.80, Fisher & Paykel Healthcare dropped 4 cents to $2.60.

Auckland International Airport was down 4 cents to $2.265, while GPG fell 1.5 cents to 76 cents.

NZX was down 8 cents to $2.22 after the stock exchange operator adamantly claimed it had fully disclosed all information about its Australian-based grain exchange.

AMP New Zealand Office Trust was unchanged at 83 cents after selling its remaining retail and office buildings in Wellington's Chews Lane for $50 million.

In currency markets, the NZ dollar was at 84.3 US, 79.51 Australian, 52.35 pence, 66.62 yen, and 0.5982 euro. The TWI stood at 73.05.
