NZ company in deal with international dairy firm

An Auckland-based company has scored a major deal with Danone, the world's largest dairy manufacturer.

EverEdge IP calls itself the country's only full service idea and technology commercialisation firm, and helps firms at any stage of their development, from start-up to listed corporates.

In this case, it bought the idea and developed it into a product called CrushPak, a compressible, accordian-like cup that can be used without a spoon to eat soft foods.

EverEdge chief executive Paul Adams says it licensed the product to overseas companies, but the Danone deal will lift production 500 million units by the end of the year.

Mr Adams says EverEdge has doubled its revenue in the four years since it was established and will add more people to its current 16 staff.
