Fullers is no longer in the running to operate ferries in Sydney.
The New Zealand ferry operator was one of 28 companies that registered interest in the running the service, but it did not submit an application to progress to the next stage.
Consortiums Harbour City Ferries and HarbourConnect, and Australian companies SeaLink Travel Group, Serco Australia and Transit Systems are reportedly the only five parties to make submissions.
New South Wales state government plans to have a private operator in place by the end of next year, but as part of the deal, it will retain control of the ferry fare structure and routes.
It intends to review the submissions and shortlist the companies for a tender process which will be run later this year.
