NZ market follows downward trend

In the wake of overnight falls on Wall Street, the benchmark NZX50 index has ended the week down 29 points, or 0.9% at 3,303 on turnover of nearly $97 million.

Among the major movements:

Fletcher Building was down 7 cents to $7.68, Telecom down 9.5 cents at $2.405, and Contact Energy down 1 cent at $5.34.

Sky City Entertainment was up 7 cents at $3.49 , Sky Network Television down 4 cents to $5.80, Auckland International Airport unchanged at $2.32, and Air New Zealand unchanged at $1.12.

Fisher & Paykel Healthcare was down 8 cents at $2.22, The Warehouse up 2 cents at $3.47, and Hallenstein Glassons up 3 cents to $3.37.

NZX lost 3 cents to $2.35, Cavalier was down 14 cents at $3.30, and Mainfreight down 9 cents to $10.01.

Vector was down 4 cents at $2.47, NZ Refining down 9 cents to $3.41, and Infratil down 3 cents to $1.72.
