NZ market inches up at week's end

The NZX50 index ended the week up 20 points, or 0.6%, at 3292 on turnover of $82 million.

In currency markets, at 5.04pm the NZ dollar was at 82.58 US, 79.84 Australian, 52.29 pence, 63.47 yen and 0.5962 euro, while the trade-weighted index stood at 72.03.

Fletcher Building rose 9c to $7.59 and Telecom was up 4.5c at $2.57.

Contact Energy dropped 8c to $5.22.

Sky City Entertainment rose 7c to $3.48, Sky Network Television remained unchanged at $5.38, and Auckland International Airport was down half a cent at $2.23.

Fisher & Paykel Healthcare was up 6c at $2.23, but the Warehouse dropped 7c to $3.38 after its full-year underlying profit fell by 9%.

New Zealand Oil & Gas was up 2c to 72c and Ebos down 1c at $6.63.
