Fisher Paykel Healthcare workers have rejected their employer's latest collective agreement offer but have agreed to more talks next week.
Seeking a pay rise of 5.7%, 900 production, maintenance and distribution workers who are members of the Engineering, Printing and Manufacturing Union and the National Distribution Union rejected the company's offer of 3% after a series of ratification meetings at the plant on Wednesday.
The union says the talks are moving in the right direction but are not there yet.
Negotiations start again on Monday; there will be no industrial action at the East Tamaki factory in the meantime.
