The New Zealand sharemarket has fallen on Tuesday with the NZX 50 index losing 48 points or 1.5% to close at 3268.
Among the major share movements, Fletcher Building was down 39 cents to $6.30, Telecom up 0.5 cents to $2.545, and Contact Energy down 10 cents at $5.63.
Sky City Entertainment was down 1 cent at $3.38, Fisher & Paykel Healthcare was unchanged at $2.48, and Auckland International Airport down 1 cent to $2.32.
The Warehouse was down 1 cent at $3.18.
Methven lost 1 cent to $1.19, Goodman Fielder was unchanged at 69 cents, Ebos Group was down 1 cent to $6.50, and AMP down 11 cents to $5.34.
In currency markets, at 5.20 pm the NZ dollar was buying 79.4 US, 77.74 Australian, 50.22 pence, 61.06 yen and 0.5766 euro.
The TWI was at 69.57.
