A meeting between British companies and Christchurch business leaders will be held in the city on Thursday afternoon.
A memorandum of understanding to share business opportunities will be signed during the Rebuild Roundtable meeting, between New Zealand Trade & Enterprise and UK Trade & Investment.
The memorandum plans to get both countries working together in foreign markets like Asia.
British High Commissioner Vicki Treadell says this is a chance for New Zealand and the United Kingdom to cooperate more closely in a rapidly globalising world.
Among the British companies attending the meeting are Lloyds and the HSBC banking group.
