Hewlett Packard has reviewed a plan to sell its personal computer division and now intends to keep it.
The decision to retain the personal systems group was made by HP's new chief executive, Meg Whitman, who took over in September.
Previous chief executive Leo Apotheker said earlier this year the company would look to sell the hardware arm.
