Time Warner's third quarter net income has risen 57%, from a year earlier, to $US822 million.
The company credited Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 for some of its success. The film grossed $US1.3 billion at the box office.
Time Warner's cable division also did well, with subscriptions up by 6% and advertising sales rising 9% to $US74 million.
However, revenues at its publishing arm were down 1%.
