An Auckland company which developed a sophisticated video conferencing system, has won $100,000 and time with Sir Richard Branson after winning the Virgin BNZ Challenge.

FaceMe is a business-focused video conferencing system which is compatible with any device and allows anyone to video-conference with a high quality of calls.

The company is 18 months old. It has launched into Australia, but wants to take its product to the rest of the world.

Judges were looking for a business which demonstrated it has what it takes to go global. There were 10 finalists.

FaceMe managing director Mark Christensen says the mentoring with Sir Richard is the most important part of the prize.
