Music album sales rose in 2011 in the United States for the first time since 2004.
Analysts attribute the rise to cheaper prices and special offers as well as a booming vinyl market.
According to figures published in Billboard magazine, album sales grew by 1.4% to 330.6 million units last year, up from 326.2 million in 2010.
