The European Central Bank kept its key interest rate unchanged on Thursday.
The main refinancing operations rate was held at 1.0%.
The decision followed two consecutive months of rate cuts.
Earlier in the day, the Bank of England kept its interest rates unchanged at 0.5%, where they have been since March 2009.
