A new online survey for Christchurch residents is encouraging them to share their post-earthquake experiences and perceptions.

The Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority is running the Wellbeing Survey to look at the effects of the February 2011 quake, including people's stress and quality of life.

The authority's manager of community wellbeing, Michelle Mitchell, says the survey will identify which areas are best to target its resources.

This includes support for people's psychological recovery

Ms Mitchell says the survey will run twice a year for the next three years.
