Almost 100 Christchurch property owners in the residential red zone who have agreed to sell their property to the Crown have had their settlement dates extended.
The Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority is considering case-by-case extensions to settlement dates for red-zoned properties on flat land, based on vulnerability and individual circumstances.
The authority says it got 316 requests for extensions from owners, and has granted 92 of them.
Five have been declined because they did not meet the criteria.
A spokesperson says it is expected most property owners who have made requests will have a decision by the end of next week.
