'Fellowship' meeting for quake-hit farm families

8:31 am on 9 September 2010

Federated Farmers hopes a meeting on Thursday afternoon will generate some fellowship among earthquake victims.

The organisation says farmers and families whose lives have been disrupted by the quake are invited to the meeting in Darfield to get some information on relief and recovery.

President Don Nicolson says the meeting will also have some theurapeutic value, as the emotional stress of the quake begins to take its toll.

A barbecue after the meeting will give farmers a chance to relax and have a catch-up, he says.

The meeting starts at 4.30pm at Darfield High School.
