Emergency centre ask people to bring bedding

The four emergency centres across Christchurch are making a plea for people using the accomodation to bring everything they might need.

Civil Defence controller in Christchurch Douglas Marshall says 760 people spent Wednesday night in the centres, which have run out of supplies of everything except food and shelter.

He says it would be helpful for people brought their own bedding as well as their medication and personal hygiene products.

He says people should also bring water containers.
