Hairdressers will meet in Auckland this week to discuss what they can do for their Christchurch peers.

Belinda Watson, who runs an Auckland salon called Biba, says a lot can be done for hairdressers out of work because of the earthquake.

She says practical support would be useful.

Ms Watson says hairdressers are also trying to raise money for their Christchurch colleagues.
