Vigil in Parliament Grounds one week on

3:48 pm on 28 February 2011

A vigil will be held in the grounds of Parliament at lunchtime on Tuesday, one week after the Christchurch earthquake.

The service, which is open to members of the public, will be attended by Governor-General Anand Satyanand, Deputy Prime Minister Bill English and diplomatic representatives.

It will begin at 12.30pm and two minutes' silence will be observed at 12.51pm, the moment when the 6.3-magnitude earthquake struck last Tuesday.
