Christchurch's Rugby World Cup games undecided

International Rugby World Cup organisers say it could be several weeks before a decision is made whether World Cup games will be played at the earthquake-damaged AMI stadium in Christchurch.

The city is to host five pool games and two quarter-finals.

The IRB says it is clear there has been damage to the stadium.

It says that damage is still being assessed along with accommodation and training facilities, the transport network, and other infrastructure needed for the Rugby World Cup in September.

Regardless of the outcome, all 48 matches will be hosted in New Zealand and the tournament will begin on September 9.
