Police have named eight more victims of the earthquake.
On Wednesday Superintendent Dave Cliff named six people from Christchurch, one from the Philippines and another from the United States.
The number of people named is now 65. The official death toll is unchanged at 166.
However, teams from Australia, China, Japan and Singapore remain in the city.
