More victims of quake named

Police on Thursday released the names of another six people who died in the Christchurch earthquake on 22 February.

The names include one man from Christchurch, and nationals from China, the Philippines, Thailand and Ireland.

The confirmed death toll from the quake remains at 166, while police have now named 71 people.

Prime Minister John Key visited a temporary mortuary in operation at the Burnham Military Camp on Thursday and praised efforts to identify bodies.
