Water is now flowing to 95% of Christchurch properties.
But Mayor Bob Parker says he's urging people to continue boiling water because of possible leaks in the pipes that could cause cross contamination.
Mr Parker says the community has avoided becoming seriously sick because people are following the boil-before-you-drink message.
